heat transfer

For this experiment we immersed a can filled with cold water into warm water where we observed the relationship between the two temperatures with respect to time. As time progressed we observed that the temp of the outside decreased at the same rate the outside water temp increased. Eventually these two water temp would come to an equilibrium point were both temp are the same.

This is a picture of the expected energy an immersion heater will give off in 20 seconds. We took the wattage output of  the immersion heater and multiplied it by 20 to find the total energy output during that 20 seconds.

This is an example of how we set up out immersion heater. We put the immersion heater in a cup of 200ml of water where we let the heater heat up the water for 20 seconds.

From this experiment we were able to obtain a Temp vs. Heat graph (top graph) and a temp vs time graph (bottom graph). We were able to show how there is a direct relationship between heat and temperature.

As for the mistakes on the rubric, i was able to find four. first is the date of the final which is on the 11th which does not fall on a Tuesday but Wednesday. The time of the final where it should not be 11pm to 1:30am. Lastly is that for the required material, you left out that we need our lab books.
